What must you do to be saved?
The good news is that God's plan of salvation is simple. God wants all me to be saved and go to heaven, and have made it very easy to claim the free gift of salvation once and forever.
The Way to get Saved and go to Heaven is made possible through the Death, Burial and Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; Jesus said "I come to seek and to save that which was lost" also Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me (John 14:6). Then He commissioned those who have been saved to go into the world and tell other that they too can "know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God." (1 John 5:13) and God promises that once we get saved, our name is written forever in Heaven in the Lambs Book of Life and it can never be erased. So, Jesus did everything that is necessary for you to be saved, the rest is simply for you to receive Christs gift of salvation and believe... But How?
While nobody wants to think about death, it is a reality for everyone; and for those who die without Jesus Christ, they face an eternity in a horrible place called Hell. Why? Because without forgiveness of sin through the blood of Christ, God has commanded that sin to not enter Heaven, so then, without Christ, we are condemned to spend eternity in Hell.
Many people believe that if they are good enough and simply live a good life, they will make it to Heaven, but that is not what the Bible teaches. The Bible teaches that we are all born with a sinful nature (Romans 5:12) and that the penalty for our sin is death; but God loved us so much that He sent His perfect Son, Jesus Christ, to die in our place as payment for our sins, and then rose from the dead victorious and alive forever more.
He offers this free gift of salvation to anyone who will believe and trust in Him. All you have to do is follow God’s "Way of Salvation!" And the reason Christ offers salvation to all, without our good deeds or works is to prove His righteousness and our need of forgiveness, mercy and grace. If there was some way we could earn our own salvation, then that would make us like gods, and there is only ONE God. And it's not us. So Here's How All Men Can Be Saved and Life Forever in Heaven:

- First, you must recognize that: you are a sinner. Sin is anything that breaks God's Lawn, any bad deed we do.
- Romans 3:10 – “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:"
- Romans 3:23 - "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”

- Second, we must realize that sin sends all men to Hell. God’s Word tells us that we are all sinners and that our sin must be paid for.
- Romans 6:23 – “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
- Third, you must understand that God loves you so much that He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ to pay the price for your sin.
- John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." wonderful news is that He paid our sin debt in full on the cross of Calvary.
- Romans 5:8 – “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
- John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." wonderful news is that He paid our sin debt in full on the cross of Calvary.
- Last, all you have to do is call upon the Lord and receive Him (the gift of salvation) as your Savior today.
- You can know all the steps to salvation, but if you fail to trust God and receive Jesus Christ as your Savior, you will die without Christ and miss Heaven.
- Romans 10:9 – “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thought shalt be saved.”
- Romans 10:13 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” - just as sure as God gave us the commandments in the Bible, He also commanded that if we receive Christ we SHALL BE saved.
- John 1:12 "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:" - the power of God saves men through the blood of Christ washing away all our sins.
- You can know all the steps to salvation, but if you fail to trust God and receive Jesus Christ as your Savior, you will die without Christ and miss Heaven.
- Right now, I invite you to "call upon the name of the Lord"! Ask Him to forgive your sins and take you to Heaven when you die. Tell Him you believe in Jesus Christ Gods Son, that He died, that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures. And claim His promise to save your soul and take you to Heaven when you die.
- - if you need help with what to say, you may pray something like this: “Lord, I know I am a sinner. And I know, that because of my sin, I deserve to die and go to Hell one day. But Lord, I believe that your Son Jesus paid the penalty for my sins when He died on the cross and rose again. I am asking you now, in faith to please forgive me of my sins and take me to Heaven when I die. I want to claim your promise of salvation today and am asking you to save my soul forever, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”
